Plaza (Barcelona, 12/26/1963) arrived at Coosur Real Betis last December with the team in a delicate situation after having only won two victories in eleven games. Finally, he achieved the goal of permanence several days in advance after adding nine victories since his incorporation.
The Catalan coach has extensive experience in national and international basketball. He was coach of Real Madrid between 2006 and 2009, years in which he won a ULEB Cup and an ACB League. Between 2009 and 2012 he lived his first stage in Seville, reaching the final of the Eurocup with the then Cajasol in 2011. Later, he coached Zalgiris Kaunas (2012/13), Unicaja Málaga (2013-18) and Zenit (2018 -twenty).
