Leverkusen’s successful run continues in Bochum

The German champions Bayer Leverkusen extended their winning streak on Sunday. The Werkself celebrated a 5-0 win with goals from Patrik Schick (41′), Victor Boniface (45’+2/penalty), Amine Adli (76′), Josip Stanisic (86′) and Alex Grimaldo (93′). at VfL Bochum and has now been unbeaten in 50 competitive games.

The Bochum team, where Kevin Stöger played through and Felix Passlack saw red early (15th), are three points ahead of the relegation place held by Union Berlin with one round to go.

Bayern are second again after a win against Wolfsburg

Shortly before, FC Bayern had moved back into second place. Munich, who started with a B team – Konrad Laimer came on as a substitute in the 74th minute – achieved a 2-0 home win against VfL Wolfsburg, with the goals scored by Lovro Zvonarek (4th) and Leon Goretzka (13th). Wolfsburg coach Ralph Hasenhüttl replaced Patrick Wimmer at halftime.

Hoffenheim beat Darmstadt 6-0 away and still has a good chance of taking part in the European Cup. The goals were scored by Ihlas Bebou (2nd, 51st), Maximilian Beier (6th, 44th), Pavel Kaderabek (22nd) and Ozan Kabak (26th). Florian Grillitsch did the preparatory work for the first and third goals. His team achieved its highest win in Bundesliga history (2018 against Cologne). Hoffenheim are now in seventh place in the table, which at least entitles them to take part in the play-offs for the Conference League.
