Very vocal on the TNT set on the sidelines of the series between Timberwolves and Nuggets, Charles Barkley once again made a notable speech this Sunday. It seems that a recent trend in the NBA community is really annoying him.
Still well established in his position as analyst for the show Inside The NBA, Charles Barkley seems particularly interested in the series between the Nuggets and the Timberwolves these days. It must be said that he is not the only one in this case, since this confrontation has monopolized the attention of many NBA fans since it began. In particular thanks to the emergence at the highest level of Anthony Edwards.
Already impressive during the regular season, the Minnesota winger only increased his level of play in the playoffs. So much so that the parallels with Michael Jordan that he has been the subject of in recent months have taken on even more importance. So much so that MJ himself spoke about them with frankness a few days ago. A viral phenomenon which, however, struggles to achieve unanimity within the league.

At just 22 years old, Edwards could logically have welcomed being compared to an icon such as Jordan. Gold, he preferred to distance himself from the legendary n°23, targeting in particular a quality which would distinguish it from the latter. A statement that must have pleased Charles Barkley, particularly upset a few minutes before the kickoff of Game 4 between Timberwolves and Nuggets:

A contemporary of His Airness, Barkley therefore believes that it is still far too early to bring Ant’ closer to the latter. This, despite an undeniable talent that he readily recognizes. Not sure, however, that the 44 points scored by the young Wolves star this Sunday will go Chuck’s way:

For Charles Barkley, the comparisons between Michael Jordan and Anthony Edwards seem very hasty and should in no case be justified. It is probably not the Wolves prodigy who risks contradicting him given his comments on the subject.
