“VEF Rīga” tried to get points with white gloves at the beginning of the game, making several mistakes in passes. Rihards Berkolds, who is on loan from “VEF Riga”, increased the handicap to a five-point advantage, but Greg Whittington became the second Vefin player to score from long range, bringing his team closer to -1 two minutes before the end. 44 seconds before the end of the game, Pidgey Pipes hit the dagger, hitting a three-pointer, which gave Vefins a two-point lead. Osborne’s long-range effort was unsuccessful, but Whittington’s penalties gave the home side a two-attack lead. With a score of 80:74, the Black Death won their 11th LBL title.
