Alex Lanier Dominates Nantes International Challenge Final

Alex Lanier Dominates Nantes International Challenge Final

He is where we expected him. Seeded number 1 in this Nantes International Challenge, Alex Lanier will compete in the final this Sunday, June 16. Impressive throughout the competition, victorious in his four matches each time in straight sets, the 19-year-old from Caen will have to, to succeed Arnaud Merklé, dominate the surprising Pablo Amian. The Spaniard, 66th in the world and seeded number 8, had a much less linear journey, with two first matches snatched after three sets, when his victory in the semi-final only came down to one wire against the Israeli Daniil Dubovenko (22-20, 22-20).

The Dane Line Christophersen holds her place

So far, the confrontations against the Iberian player have been rather successful at the Tricolore, with two sets, in November then in December 2022.
Note that on this last day, four other finals are on the menu. Among the women, the Dane Line Christophersen n°1 is also there and will have the status of huge favorite against the Austrian Amalie Schulz.
