Football Manager Expert Helps Bromley FC Secure Promotion to League Two

Last Sunday, Bromley FC made history and secured promotion to League Two (English fourth division) for the first time in the club’s 132 years of existence. The achievement was something historic for the club, but this journey had an interesting detail, as the technical team includes an assistant coach who was hired due to Football Manager, a computer game.

As already reported by the More football At the start of the season, the English club announced that they were looking for an analyst. From this competition came Football Manager expert Nathan Owolabi, 23 years old, who, in January of this year, was hired to be a tactical analyst and was under the orders of Andy Woodman.

The work ended up going well and Bromley FC even secured promotion to the fourth tier, after winning, at Wembley, in the playoff final, 4-3 on penalties against Solihull Moors (2-2 in regular time).

The decisive penalty was scored by captain Byron Webster, who at the time of the penalty was already wearing the armband referring to the division above. The veteran ended up having a successful finish and promoted Bromley FC to the professional championships for the first time in history.

Winning this title is also due to the help of Nathan Owolabi, who learned from Football Manager and helped the team when they needed it most.
