Update: Due to new information in the case of the person who jumped into the Main in the Schaumainkai 70 area on March 5th at around 3:48 p.m., a search is underway for Dan Alexandru B.
The 30-year-old missing man is male, around 182 centimeters tall, has a slim build and dark blonde to dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a black baseball cap.
Who can say anything about Mr. B.’s stay? Who saw a person whose clothes were soaked in the Mainkai area after 3:48 p.m. on March 5th? Who can provide information that will lead to finding Mr. B.?

Original message: Yesterday, Tuesday afternoon (5th), an apparently mentally disturbed man fell into the Main. Despite an extensive search by the police, fire brigade and rescue services, he could no longer be seen.
At around 3:15 p.m., police officers were called because a man was screaming loudly and pulling on several vehicle doors in the Steinlestrasse area. Immediately after he saw the patrol car, he left and went to the Schaumainkai in the area of the deep quay, to a boathouse there. Meanwhile, he shouted at drivers and briefly tried to stop vehicles. When he arrived at the water, he climbed over the fence to the boathouse, then finally stood on the jetty.
The officers tried to calm the man from a distance, but he suddenly and without any outside influence dropped into the Main. A bystander witness and the police officers threw him a lifebuoy and tried to help him. At the same time, the fire department and the rescue service were notified. However, the man was caught by a current and disappeared under the surface of the water in the Peace Bridge area and did not resurface.
All search efforts by the authorities involved, including the help of boats and a police helicopter, were unsuccessful.
