The Endesa Mini Cup will be played at the José Luis Pérez Canca Pavilion coinciding with the Copa del Rey Málaga 2024

The Endesa Mini Cup will experience a new edition in Malaga, where the competition will celebrate its twentieth birthday. From Wednesday, February 14 to Sunday, February 18, the José Luis Pérez Canca Pavilion, in the Javier Imbroda Sports City, will host the tournament where stars are born, which will experience its grand finale at the José María Martín Carpena Sports Palace.

But first, on Monday, January 15, at 1:00 p.m., the Picasso Museum in Malaga will host, in addition to the Copa del Rey 2024 pairing draw, the group draw for the Final Phase of the Endesa Mini Cup 2024.

Next to Real Madridcurrent champion, and Unicajahost, will be in Malaga Barça, Valencia Basket, Básquet Manresa, Joventut Badalona, ​​Casademont Zaragoza and Básquet Gironaafter winning their ticket in the first phase held in Tarragona last December.

From groups

These eight qualified teams will be divided into two groups of four that will compete against each other during the first phase. The first two of each group will meet in the semifinals, the third will compete for 5th and 6th place and the fourth will fight for 7th place.. The Endesa Mini Cup 2024 will experience its final on Sunday, February 18, with the Martín Carpena as the stage, a few hours before the grand final of the Copa del Rey.

Draw mechanics

For the group draw, the eight qualified teams will be distributed in two urns: one for the seeded teams (the three teams with the best results in the qualifying phase and the current champion, Real Madrid) and another in which the other teams will be three teams classified along with the host, Unicaja Andalucía. In the draw, 2 groups of 4 teams will be formed. Each group will have 2 seeded teams and 2 UNseeded teams.

From Wednesday the 14th to Friday the 16th, the group stage will be played, in which all teams will play a match against the other three teams in their group. On Saturday the 17th, the top 2 finishers in each group will play in the semifinals, while the four third-place finishers will play for 5th and 6th place and the fourth-place finishers will play for 7th and 8th place.

On the last day of the competition, Sunday the 18th, the match for 3rd and 4th place will take place at the José Luis Pérez Canca Pavilion, while the grand final will be held at the Martín Carpena.
