Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi rarely make headlines. Now there is something positive to admire: an unusually private photo.
Las Vegas – The tennis dream couple Steffi Graf (54) and Andre Agassi (53) are spending more than 20 years after their wedding living a quiet life away from scandals and without making themselves too public. Graf doesn’t even have his own Instagram account. Agassi does, and he has almost half a million followers. However, there isn’t too much activity there.

The effect of a real wow posting is even greater: a photo that Agassi posted for the New Year received more than 250,000 likes in the first five days. It shows the two former tennis stars nestled together in a romantic pose. “With love,” writes Agassi, followed by a little heart, then the year 2024. What a New Year’s picture!
The enthusiastic comments are overwhelming. “Such a great married couple – so friendly!”, “So perfect” or “You look good,” they say. “I suspect Steffi won’t age. What is her secret? “Beautiful skin, beautiful hair,” enthuses another comment. Most of the reactions are in English, one user writes in German: “A down-to-earth, warm couple that couldn’t be a better match.”

The couple reminds others of their childhood: “I love it. I grew up watching you two play and it’s so wonderful to see the human side of you both,” one user wrote. “My childhood idols when I started playing tennis” another.

There are also reactions from celebrities. Donnie Wahlberg just leaves a heart. Canadian Genie Bouchard, once in the top ten of the women’s world rankings, says: “Best tennis couple ever. Miss you!” along with little hearts. Designer Ora-ïto thinks: “You are both legends.” Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ana Ivanovic are another sports dream couple – ZDF recently joked about it at the expense of the ex-footballer. (lin)
