There’s still a good six months left until EURO 2024, but only a few weeks left until the group draw increases. Here you will find the most important information about the drawing.

It will become clear in December which opponents Germany will face in the preliminary round of the home European Championship and what the other groups will look like. The balls will be drawn on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, more precisely at 5:45 p.m. in the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
EM 2024 in Germany, draw for the groups: teams, nations
A total of 24 nations will compete at the EURO. The DFB team is already safely there as hosts, and 20 other teams have been officially confirmed as European Championship participants since yesterday. The remaining three places in the Nations League playoffs will only be determined after the draw.

The draw for the 2024 European Championship will take place in December.
EM 2024 in Germany, group draw: mode
All qualified nations and the three placeholders for the Nations League playoffs will be divided into four draw pots – depending on their performance in qualifying. For each European Championship group, one team is drawn from each pot; Germany is already assigned to Group A.
Germany and the five best teams from the European Championship qualifiers are in pot 1, after which the remaining teams will be placed in pots 3-4 in descending order. The three countries that will only qualify later via the playoffs will automatically end up in Pot 4.

EM 2024 in Germany, draw for the groups: broadcast on TV and live stream
Now all that remains is to clarify where you can watch the fun on TV and live stream. And the answer is: in many ways. There are five channels responsible for TV: ARD, ZDF, RTL, Sky and MagentaTV will all broadcast the draw.
As is usual, all of these channels also have online offerings. These are the ARD media library, ZDF media library, RTL+ (paid), SkyGo/WOW (paid) and MagentaSport. UEFA itself also goes live on uefa.com.
