Shilov returns to the NHL club Vancouver Canucks

On Wednesday and Friday, the Vancouver hockey players will play test matches with Seattle Kraken and Calgary Flames.

The season of official NHL games will start on October 10, and the AHL season – on October 13.

Shilov played five games with the Vancouver Canucks in the NHL last season, winning three games and shooting 90.8% while averaging 2.75 goals per game.

On the other hand, in the ranks of the Abbotsford “Canucks” in the regular championship, Shilov managed 90.9% of the opponents’ shots in 43 matches and lost an average of 2.43 goals. In two Calder Cup games, Shilov has saved 91.4% of shots and allowed 2.85 goals per match on average.

In May, Šilovs helped the Latvian national team win bronze medals at the world championship, where he was recognized as the most valuable player of the tournament.

Shilov participated in all ten matches of the world championship, only the first match was not completed. The 22-year-old goalkeeper helped the Latvian national team win seven victories, saved 92.14% of shots and allowed an average of 2.2 innings.
