This weekend there will be no basketball at ‘Campoamor’. The reason; the leaks. The rain last Thursday “has leaked” and the ICD has decided to close the facility, just on the weekend where the local competitions were going to start. This has been confirmed by the Ceuta territorial company in a statement:
“Due to the storm we suffered this Thursday, the Antonio Campoamor Sports Center will remain closed this weekend. The heavy rains have filtered into this sports space, making it impossible for the players to use it. For this reason, we announce that the scheduled activities “For this weekend, both training sessions and the Federation Cup are suspended. We regret the inconvenience and we hope that next week we can play basketball again.”
A fact, more common than it seems, in this sports facility that continues to have defects since almost its inauguration.
Ceuta Base Basket debuts in the Cádiz League
A few weeks ago, the Ceuta Base Basket Basketball club conveyed to the public the news of its incorporation into the Cádiz League, after finally having, “and after a lot of effort”, the resources and human capital necessary for it.
An addition that culminates with the team’s debut in a match that will be played tomorrow at noon. Specifically, the team led by Alberto Delgado will face the Puerto Real Basketball Club at 1:20 p.m. at the City of Algeciras Pavilion, in the city of the same name.
The Club calls on everyone who wants to come to cheer on the team in its long-awaited first match and thus contribute to the support of Ceuta sport beyond the Strait. Likewise, they remember that there is still the possibility of subscribing to the Club and collaborating to try to leave the name of Ceuta as high as possible in the neighboring Community of Andalusia.
