Chorale Roanne suffers a heartbreaking loss against Nanterre in close match

The Choir lost this Tuesday evening in Nanterre (83-77), as part of the 3rd day. Still ahead until the start of the last quarter, the Choraliens suffered a terrible 25-8, disrupted by the Nanter press zone. Roanne may have regrets…

An idyllic start to the match…

Effective in attack, present defensively, the Chorale had the perfect start to the match (8-17, 5th). Justin Bibbins caught in the vice, Nanterre finally relied on its interior sector to reduce its delay (17-24, 10th). Hamady Ndiaye with his 10 points in 10 minutes tortured the Roannais circle and it was even Desi Rodriguez with 3-points in the corner which allowed his team to take the lead at the break (43-41, 20th).

The 2nd and 4th quarters for Nanterre

Start of the 3rd quarter, repeat. Like the start of the match, the Choraliens started again with beating drums. With a 19-5 in 5 minutes, the Chorale took off to take up to 15 points in advance (50-65, 27th). With Justin Bibbins gradually regaining his senses, with a less effective trap and rotations in difficulty, Nanterre returned to -11 before the start of the last quarter (58-69, 30th).

The 4th quarter would see Nanterre sweep over the Choraliens. The press zone was effective, ball losses multiplied on the Roannais side and the gap melted like snow in the sun (68-72, 35th). Kellan Grady gave a little breath (73-77, 38th), but it was again a 10-0 which definitively nailed the match (83-77, 40th).

The Choir now has a home date for two consecutive matches, against Chalon on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. then Blois on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
