The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Pedro Rocha, celebrated the “absolute support” they have from UEFA and FIFA, staged in separate meetings these days with Aleksander Ceferin and Gianni Infantino at the FIFA Congress in Bangkok .
“It has been a very positive day. They have approved some points that are very interesting for world football and we have also discussed the issue against racism, which is a very sensitive issue and we have to take it into account. We from the Spanish Federation we carried out and all people have to value it,” says Rocha in a video published by the RFEF media.
Rocha led the professional team that represented the RFEF during the FIFA Congress in Thailand, with the vote for Brazil to host the next Women’s World Cup, and highlighted the support of UEFA and FIFA after separate meetings with their presidents.
“It has been an excellent meeting with Ceferin. The support we have from UEFA and FIFA is absolute, they are football people and above all football has to prevail,” said Rocha, who was elected president at the end of April but is under the RFEF Representation Commission, chaired by Vicente Del Bosque, created by the government, while the judicial process continues after the management of former president Luis Rubiales.
