According to Basler, Joshua Kimmich is once again responsible for the poor performance of Munich. “Kimmich is the player who makes Bayern completely confused. I will continue to focus on Kimmich, because Kimmich’s performance is sub-par,” he said.
The problem: According to Basler, Kimmich does not hold his position, so it does not matter who is in midfield next to him. “Laimer, who was an outstanding player for me in Leipzig. It doesn’t matter where he ran to, Kimmich ran after him and Kimmich kept playing,” said the 54-year-old.

Basler gives Bayern coach Tuchel a tip
Basler, who is known for his clear words, then has a tip for Thomas Tuchel. Because instead of Kimmich, he would send the midfield duo Konrad Laimer and Leon Goretzka onto the field. Kimmich would not then put Basler on the bench, in his opinion he could take on the role of right-back.
