Alex De Minaur easily disposes of Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the semis in Toronto

New final for Alex De Minaur. A week after reaching the final in Los Cabos (defeat against Stefanos Tsitsipas), the Australian qualified for the Masters 1000 in Toronto on Saturday evening by beating Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (6-1, 6-3). He will play his fourth final there this season, the first of his Masters 1000 career.

Perfectly entering his match, De Minaur gave Davidovich Fokina almost no chance in the first set, the Spaniard only snatching a shutout (6-1). The second set could have been a copy of the first, but Davidovich Fokina offered himself a slight reprieve by breaking the Australian twice. De Minaur finally concluded on his opponent’s serve, from his first match point.
