Tempo Rives 2023: An Exciting Lineup of Concerts in the Garden of the Museum of Fine Arts

Tempo Rives 2023, here we go! Until early August, two evening concerts will take place each week on Wednesdays and Thursdays, in the garden of the Museum of Fine Arts. To kick off the festivities, meet on Wednesday July 12 to discover the Afro-Caribbean melodies of Combo Chimbita and their psychedelic distortions. In the first part, at 8 p.m., the Orange Platine collective invites the public to participate in a spontaneous musical creation, carried by the percussions of Café Frappé.

On the agenda for the week

National Holiday. As every year in Angers, the National Day celebrations will take place on the evening of July 13. The City of Angers concert band will open the festivities with a concert of Irish music at 7 p.m. at the Mail kiosk. The traditional parade will take place at 8:30 p.m. on Place Leclerc, followed by the parade with a demonstration of light vehicles. Finally the fireworks will be fired at 11 p.m. on the banks of Maine. This year’s theme: “Head in the stars, from dream to reality”. Note that for the evening traffic restrictions will be put in place.

Summer at the lake. The activities of L’Eté au lac begin this Wednesday, July 12 at Lac de Maine, with every day until August 27 a whole program of activities to discover for young and old. Kayaking, Nordic walking, archery, electric scooter, beach volleyball and an escape game on the theme of composting are notably on the program for this first week. Please note: participation in most activities is subject to registration, to be done online one week before the desired date.

Escapes of art. The Echappées d’art artistic trail is enriched each year with new creations, to be discovered on the facades or various elements of street furniture. Guided tours are also organized this summer, which offer to extend the discovery by an artistic practice workshop, with the realization of a collective sculpture inspired by the motifs of the various frescoes.

The mysteries of plants and in particular their ingenious methods of reproduction: this is the theme of a 3 km walk offered in Bouchemaine, on the Chevrière peninsula. An original discovery, accompanied by a passionate botanist, to take another look at nature. July 16, upon registration
