Miggy does not stop and continues to stalk records

Saturday night was one of the most special in Miguel Cabrera’s farewell tour as a professional player, since it was where it all began with the Miami Marlins.

In a doubleheader at LoanDepot Park with a 5-0 win for the Detroiters, Cabrera got two new hits to add to his tally and continue closing the gap on Tony Gwynn’s record.

The boy from Maracay hit a line drive to right field that ended up being an extra base hit.

Miggy went 4-2 in this game, leaving a double, a hit and a run scored for the Detroiters and for his personal account.

In each of Cabrera’s turns, the fans did not stop applauding and supporting the native who could feel the heat of all those who filled the Florida park.

With these new unstoppables, Miggy leaves accounts of 3,136 hits and is only five behind Tony Gwynn in the 20th place of all time.

As if that were not enough, on this same day, the Venezuelan reached 618 doubles for life in MLB, just 6 behind the legendary Hank Aaron who is in box 13.

In each shift, Miggy will continue to leave records and numbers that are difficult to match in the Major Leagues.
