Starting from the second row on the grid, the driver from the Alfa Romeo F1 youth sector, leading the race for a time, finally finished 3rd, preceded by the British winner Oliver Bearman (Prema) and the Brazilian Enzo Fittipaldi (Carlin ).

His compatriot and teammate at Art GP, Victor Martins, finished just off the podium. Thanks to his third place, Pourchaire (65 pts) took over the reins of the F2 championship from Ayumu Iwasa (Dams), who left Azerbaijan without a single point.
