For sports: There is a stumbling start before kick-off. National coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg (54) stumbles over the medicine case, but can keep on her feet.

The German team makes a lot of steam on the field, but despairs of converting chances.

In the first 30 minutes, the DFB-Elf has 35 ball actions in the opposing penalty area – the best value in the tournament. At half-time, Germany even had 20 shots on goal, Finland only 1.

Shortly before the break then salvation!

40. Minute: Huth swings a hook and puts Gwinn in play on the right side of the penalty area. This goes into dribbling and crosses into the six-yard space. The moved up left-back Kleinherne only has to nod off from five meters. 1:0!

After the restart, we continue with brains – with success!

48. Minute: Substitute Hendrich crossed Alexandra Popp, who climbed the highest in the six-yard box. 2:0!

Germany wins head and tail!

Popp is the first German in history to score in all three EM group games.

After the double lead, the Voss-Tecklenburg team has plenty of chances. Shortly after a La-Ola spills through the stadium, the next goal falls!

63. Minute: After unsuccessful attempts at clarification, the ball lands on Nicole Anyomi (22), who shoots in from 10 meters. 3:0!

With nine points and nine goals from three games, it goes undefeated into the quarter-finals!

Small drawback: Giulia Gwinn (23) has to go out injured at the break. It pinched her thigh. During the game she had to be treated twice.

★★★

Which: In the run-up to the tournament, teams had complained about the small EM stadiums. After two games in Brentford (17,500 spectators), the German team was looking forward to Milton Keynes (30,500). However, 10,000 seats remained empty.
