Spar Nord Støvring has, on behalf of the Spar Nord Foundation, approved a donation of DKK 20,000. Among other things, the donation will go towards partial payment of a new demonstration track.
Støvring Badminton is a traditional badminton club with more than 260 members. In recent years, the club has been developing rapidly, where well-being, fun and development are prioritized.
To the great joy of the badminton club, Lisa Kjær, director of Spar Nord Støvring, was able to present a donation of DKK 20,000 on behalf of the Spar Nord Foundation. A donation that will go towards partial payment of a new demonstration track, which will create opportunities for all members.
– We are very grateful for the Spar Nord Foundation’s donation of DKK 20,000, which has helped finance our new demonstration track. This court will create new opportunities for all our members and contribute to the club’s continued growth and success, says Torben Vesterager, board member of Støvring Badminton.
– As a local bank, we are very happy, on behalf of Spar Nord Fonden, to be able to contribute financial support to our flourishing association life. Støvring Badminton is a broad club with many members of all ages, and the new demonstration court will be the focal point for new events with a focus on mental and technical training, legwork training and for social events, says Lisa Kjær, director of Spar Nord Støvring.
The new demonstration pitch will also be used for semi-final and final matches. It gives the tournaments an extra dimension when played on a real tournament course – and it can help attract more new players. The youth players in particular see it as a unique experience.
During the winter months, the club has, among other things, held an Open Hall, where everyone has been welcome to join both for physical activity in the hall and afterwards for fun with eating.
