Juventus Turin parted ways with its coach Massimiliano Allegri shortly after winning the cup final. Despite many successes, the 56-year-old was relieved of his position on Friday because he freaked out after the 1-0 win against Atalanta Bergamo on Wednesday evening.

According to Vaciago, the coach called him a “shitty director” who spread lies. Afterwards he even pushed him and threatened him: “I know where I have to wait for you. I’ll come and rip both your ears off. I’m going to come and slap you in the face.”

Juventus – now 15-time cup winners – immediately apologized for their behavior. Allegri himself spoke of a “violent verbal argument in the excitement of the moment” during which both insulted each other. However, he otherwise disputed the journalist’s account. On Friday, the two declared their dispute over in a joint statement.
Montero should take over
But that couldn’t save Allegri’s job. According to media reports, U19 coach Paolo Montero will now take over for the last two games in Serie A for the Italian record champions. The season had already ended for Allegri because the league had handed him a two-game day ban and a 5,000 euro fine. In the championship, the “Old Lady” is fourth in the table and has already secured qualification for the Champions League.
Allegri worked very successfully as Juventus coach between 2014 and 2019. He has returned there since 2021. The Atalanta Bergamo club, which lost to Juventus, will play against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final next week.
