Rachid Meziane’s Villeneuvoises won their return final this Friday evening against Basket Landes (114-88) and thus the title of French Women’s League champion, after their success at Mont-de-Marsan last Saturday (66-70).
The ESBVA-LM, for the fourth championship final in its history (2015, 2017, 2023), did not tremble against the Landaises of Julie Barennes (coach) and Céline Dumerc (sports director) to win their second national title.
In addition to two Women’s League titles, the ESBVA also has a Eurocup, won in 2015.

Carmelo Scarna’s club ends its 2023-2024 season in apotheosis, one month after a historic Euroleague final against Fernerbahce, in Mersin (Turkey), and a vice-championship title at the end. The Villeneuvois club’s record, in addition to two Women’s League titles, also includes a Eurocup, won in 2015.
