“We have had a fantastic sporting season, beyond our expectations and the objectives set in September. Especially since this season, after the last two years cut because of the Covid, is very long. We ended this Sunday with the RF2 final, unfortunately lost! But I am very happy for the whole club, ”welcomes the president.
Trouillet boys coach
While the season has just ended, as a good entrepreneur that he is in his professional life, Lilian Harichoury is already planning for the next one: “Among the boys we should have three comebacks and we will have a new coach very experienced, it is Thierry Trouillet. Ditto with the girls, where Lalanne and Brugat who played at Mourenx have signed with us and they should be joined by Sarah Abad, a former player from Pau Nord-Est. For team 2 too, we should have some signatures of girls who want to come to us. »
But to keep everyone running, you need volunteers and in all the clubs they become rare pearls: “We would like to have more. We have a big lack and the Covid has not helped us on that side,” he said. The club also has excellent working conditions, which the president welcomes: “It must also be said that we have very good relations with the city, each time we call on them, they are present. »
Camps de basket
For several seasons, the club has been offering basketball camps during school holidays, the first started last Monday: “Every summer, we do two, open to licensees or not, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are right in the first, the second starts next Monday and there are still places available. On Wednesdays, the young people go on an excursion to Lac de Guiche, ”says the president.
These are led by Cédric Capdeboscq, who this year is assisted by Jean-Fred Morency, whom the supporters of Élan Béarnais know well. As part of his professional retraining, he is on a two-week internship in Lons, in order to allow young people to benefit from his immense experience as a player.
