Stephon Gilmore’s quadriceps are not awarded. ESPN are announcing that the cornerback has been placed on the Unable to Play (PUP) list, and will therefore miss at least the first six games of the season. His agent confirmed it to our colleagues.
Gilmore had surgery at the end of last season. Since then, his team has been awaiting his return.
The cornerback, former defender of the year, managed just one interception in 11 games last season, his smallest since his rookie season.
The 30-year-old is entering the last year of his contract and will be free in March 2022.
