BOLASPORT.COM – Juergen Klopp will take the risk of forcing a Liverpool player to become an impromptu defender if Liverpool manage to defend Georginio Wijnaldum and Thiago Alcantara in the future.

Liverpool are exploring the possibility of being able to defend Georginio Wijnaldum while also getting their target of Thiago Alcantara.

Previously, Wijnaldum was widely rumored to be joining Barcelona after leaving one year at Liverpool on his contract.

Ronald Koeman, the new Barcelona coach who coached Georginio Wijnaldum when he was still the architect of the Dutch national team, believes the 29-year-old player is the solution for the Blaugrana midfield.

Even Barca have reportedly agreed to a price set by Liverpool for Wijnaldum of 18 million pounds (352 billion rupiah).

But now it looks like Barcelona have to bite their fingers because the player reportedly wants to stay at Anfield.

Wijnaldum is reported to have held a meeting with Juergen Klopp on Wednesday (9/9/2020), as reported by BolaSport.com from Sky Sport.

From the results of the meeting, Wijnaldum reportedly wants to stay at Liverpool and is waiting for a contract extension offer from the club.

From Germany, Bild also reported that Liverpool’s target, Thiago Alcantara, has entered into a personal agreement with the Reds.
