Our ÖFB team lost the World Cup qualifying hit against Denmark with 0: 1. AUSTRIA expert Frenkie Schinkels grades the ÖFB kickers.
Unfortunately it was a disappointing performance for our team. I never had the feeling for a single second that Austria could take at least one point. Even though the Danes only had one evening on average. Offensive we only had a header in 90 minutes – that’s just not enough. The bottom line is that we deserve to be where we are: If you only win three out of eight games, twice against Faroe Islands and once against Moldova, you have no place in the top two of the group. There is only one reason why I don’t give the marks insufficient: Because the attitude was okay, there was nothing to complain about in terms of running and we didn’t allow a lot defensively. But let’s go into details …

Daniel Bachmann (Note: 3)
The Watford legionnaire was our best in my opinion, although he certainly still has some catching up to do in terms of football. He saved Austria from falling behind for a long time and showed good saves. But Bachmann also had no chance when conceded.

Christopher Trimmel (Note: 4)
Had a good grip on his right side until the goal was conceded, but unfortunately he forgot about Maehle at 0-1. On the offensive, I’ve seen the Union legionnaire play much better games.

Stefan Posch (Note: 3)
The Hoffenheimer was blameless and blameless. Defensively, he had the Danish strikers under control. Only when he conceded did he let Delaney dance out too easily.

Martin Hinteregger (Note: 3)
Defensively, the Frankfurt legionnaire was stable after initial difficulties, in the build-up of the game you have to expect more from him.

David Alaba (Note: 3)
Had the left defense under control in his 90th international match, but offensive he owed a lot. More has to come from him.

Stefan Ilsanker (Note: 4)
You know what you get from Ilsanker: Willingness, tackling strength, but incredibly bad technical football. That is simply not enough for a national player.

Florian Grillitsch (Note: 4)
Unfortunately, a relapse into the old days: The Hoffenheimer takes the momentum from the offensive actions far too often, often turns and plays back to the keeper. More courage would do him good!

Marcel Sabitzer (Note: 4)
A lot more has to come from a player in his class. Unfortunately, he didn’t pose any danger at all and made an incredible number of bad passes. So he has no chance of playing time at Bayern.

Konrad Laimer (Note: 3)
The man from Leipzig really wanted to, and was often the only one to go into counter-pressing. Unfortunately, he too did not manage to create an offensive threat.

Marco Grüll (Note: 4)
The Rapidler started bravely on his debut, but this courage failed him as the game continued. Grüll was too seldom able to show his speed.

Ercan Kara (Note: 4)
The striker didn’t find any chances for over 90 minutes, that’s not enough. But one thing must not be forgotten: two years ago he was still playing in Horn, but he still lacks penetration against defenders from Milan and Chelsea.
