The International Agency for Tennis Integrity reported that it received four alerts from matches in Grand Slams in 2021 that had suspicious betting patterns. Two of them correspond to the Wimbledon tournament and the other two to the US Open.
The sum gives a total of 38 suspicious encounters that the authorities will begin to investigate. Not to mention if they correspond to singles or doubles matches as if they are ATP or WTA.
Match manipulation and betting remain one of the great evils in tennis. At the moment no more details are known. The authorities did not refer to this and we will have to wait for the relevant investigation to find out if there is something illegal or not in them.
