The first badminton spring invitational tournament in Weiyang District, Xi’an ended
Western Network News On April 20, the first Weiyang District Badminton “Netsafe Linnei Kitchen Appliance Cup” Spring Invitational Tournament, guided by the Xi’an Weiyang District Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau and sponsored by the Weiyang District Badminton Association, kicked off at the Xi’an City Sports Park Badminton Hall.
The competition will be conducted in a group round robin + knockout format, and 26 teams from Weiyang District have signed up to participate. During the game, lobs, smashes, volleys at the net… a series of smooth movements brought exciting and climaxing visual feasts to the audience.
After two days of fierce competition, the Shaanxi Petroleum Construction Team won the championship, the Wright Company team won the runner-up, the Changqing Oilfield Agency Team won the third place, Green Lantern Electric Power Xi’an Co., Ltd., Changqing Well Logging, Municipal Government Kaiyuan Badminton Team, Changqing Oilfield Development Team and Changqing Engineering Design Co., Ltd. won four to eight places respectively.
This competition is a new measure for Weiyang District to develop social undertakings and actively carry out sports and fitness activities. The Weiyang District Badminton Association also plans to hold the “Weiyang District Badminton Autumn Invitational Tournament and Year-end Finals” during the year, striving to create a “brand event” for Weiyang Badminton and create a theme atmosphere of “Vitality, Health, and Development”.
