November 1st (Sat) – 2nd (Sun) 2025 Kodokan Cup All Japan Judo Weight Class Championships

This tournament is a competition to determine the best in Japan in each class, in which the top prize winners of various national tournaments and all-Japan training athletes participate, and the selection of training athletes,
This event will also serve as the selection for Japan’s representative players for the Grand Slam Tokyo (an international tournament) to be held on Saturday, December 6th and Sunday, December 7th.
Seven players from JR East participated.
In the 57kg class, Akari Omori won her first match in overtime and continued to fight calmly to advance to the finals. The final match was also a tough battle with overtime, but they won the victory thanks to their accumulated guidance to the opposing players.
Yuri Nakauchi in the 52kg class fought through a tough battle and made it to the semi-finals, but lost in the semi-finals and narrowly lost in the third-place deciding match, finishing in fifth place.
Kokoharu Mori in the 78kg class made good progress, but was defeated in the third round. After that, they were eliminated in the repechage match and finished in 7th place.
On the day of the event, over 450 people came to the venue to support us. The loud cheers that echoed through the venue gave the players strength. thank you very much. We will continue to work hard every day, so we appreciate your continued support.
