Garage 59, which will take over from United Motorsports as the McLaren team in WEC 2026, has finally revealed the drivers who will represent it.
The British team is preparing to take the big step into endurance competition with the arrival at the FIA World Championship. Following the more than good results obtained nell’ultima GT World Challenge Europeespecially with the victory in the 3 hours of Barcelonathere is great anticipation for the arrival of Garage 59, which will already offer a preview of its performances on the occasion of the 12 hours of the Gulf scheduled for the next few days.
But which drivers will compete with the same team in the World Endurance Championship? At the forefront we find Antares Au, the champion of the Asian Le Mans Serieswho will share the #10 McLaren with Tom Fleming and Marvin Kirchhöfer. The first, a British driver born in 2002, is the winner of the 2023 Ferrari Challenge World Championship Finals, who this year raced in multiple competitions, including ELMS, GTWC Europe, IGTC and Le Mans Cup, also collecting important victories. The second, however, is the German winner of the 24 hours of Daytona, at the wheel of the AWA Corvette.
The second car of Garage 59, the note #58, will instead be driven by Finn Gehrsitz, arriving from Akkodis ASPand by Benjamin Goethe, winner of the 24 Hours of Spa 2022 and the 24 Hours of Dubai 2023, but not only. Swedish veteran Alexander West also joins their crew.
