Vietnam National Team Players Arrested for Drug Abuse – Shocking News Rocks AFF Cup 2022

No less surprising news hit Vietnamese football. Five of the country’s professional players were arrested by the police for drug abuse cases.

Reporting from local Vietnamese media, The Thao 247, the five players who had to deal with the law were Duong Quang Tuan, Dinh Thanh Trung, Nguyen Trung Hoc, Nguyen Van Truong, and Nguyen Ngoc Thang.

The five players were arrested by the Ha Tinh police, Vietnam on Wednesday (8/5/2024) afternoon local time at a hotel. Apart from the five, the police also arrested a number of women.

According to the Ha Tinh Provincial Police, on May 4, 2024, the Ha Tinh Police inspected rooms 501 and 502 at the BM Hotel in Ha Tinh City. From the examination process, it was found that 10 subjects were using drugs illegally.
