The WTA announced this Thursday the calendar for the next 2025 season, which will consist of more than 50 tournaments spread across 26 countries, with the expansion of the Montreal (Canada) and Cincinnati (United States) tournaments, of the WTA 1000 category, expanded to 12 days long.

The women’s circuit recalled that next year “will mark the second full year of the revised structure” of its calendar, which “was introduced to better showcase the best tennis players playing in the best events and support long-term sustainable growth for female players.” , tournaments and all parties interested in the sport.

“The 2025 calendar offers a clear and exciting narrative for our billion-strong fan base around the world to follow this incredible sport. We strive to create the best possible experience for everyone involved in women’s tennis, and from our first tournaments in Australia until the WTA Finals in Riyadh, it will be another captivating season on the circuit,” warned Steve Simon, CEO of the WTA.

Among the news are that the WTA 500 in Eastbourne (United Kingdom) will change location and will be played at the London facilities of the Queen’s tournament the week of June 9, the first week of the grass season, while the Nottingham, also in England, passes a week later. A WTA 250 will take place in Eastbourne the week of June 23, combined with an ATP 250. The WTA 500 in Bad Homburg (Germany) remains in the third week of the grass season.
