ASICS Malcesine Baldo Trail, all ready for a record-breaking third edition. Confirming itself as an international event, the nature running event designed on the paths of Alto Garda on the border between Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige will see over 800 competitors representing 29 different nations at the start. Of these, 25% are women and 13% are foreigners. Important numbers for a young race that is popular; a significant growth trend of +200 compared to the previous edition bears witness to this.
THE PROTAGONISTS:
Leafing through a starting list currently being defined, some names stand out as candidates for certain protagonists. Among them, obligatory mention goes to the German Eva Maria Sperger (50km), Luca Pescollderungg (50km), Georg Piazza (50km), Jacopo Troiano (50km), Francesco Rigondanza (24km), Roberto Mastrotto (24km), Mattia Gianola (50km) , Maddalena Soma (24km) and Daniela Rota (24km).
THE PROGRAM:
On Saturday morning, the curtain will be raised on an intense two days of sport, fun and nature with the 50km “ultra” (3,355MD+) starting at 7.30. ONE hour later it will be the turn of the 24km “medium” test (1,994MD+). The awards ceremony will start at 3pm in the arrival area, followed by a concert with live music.
Sunday morning at 10.00 the grand finale with the 16KM (1,185D+) “short” race through the streets of Malcesine. In this case the awards ceremony will be held at 1.00 pm.
I DO NOT THROW OUT MY WASTE:
as in the previous editions of the Alto Garda event, it embraces the “I don’t throw away my waste” project according to which the athlete can be immediately disqualified if caught throwing waste along the race route.

THE EVENT IN PILLS:
ULTRA:
departure and arrival from the town of Malcesine with passage at high altitude to the cable car station. The route is designed on very panoramic mountain paths that cross the Monte Baldo Local Natural Park in the municipalities of Avio and Brentonico.

SHORT:
departure and arrival from the town of Malcesine. The route takes place mainly on paths and dirt roads halfway up the coast, the arrival, while the final part is along the lake.
