The Austrian Dominic Thiem is eliminated from the last Roland-Garros of his career, after his defeat in the 2nd round of qualifying against Otto Virtanen (6-2, 7-5)

The Austrian Dominic Thiem, who announced the end of his career, was eliminated at the last Roland-Garros of his career, after his defeat in the 2nd round of qualifying against Otto Virtanen (6-2, 7-5) this Wednesday. Not invited for the final draw, during the final Roland-Garros of his career, he nevertheless did the job in the first round of qualifying, beating the Italian Franco Agamenone (3-6, 6-3, 6-2 ).

“I would like to thank everyone who came to see me play during these two qualifying matches. It’s special, I really have a special relationship with the tournament. I really enjoyed playing in front of a full Suzanne-Lenglen court this Wednesday. I will come back here, for sure, as a spectator,” he expressed during the tribute paid to his career on the Suzanne-Lenglen court, after the match.
