The first new signing for the 2024/25 season has been confirmed: Luca Schuler is coming to our capital club from 1. FC Magdeburg. The attacker has committed himself to our old lady until 2027 after his contract on the Elbe expired. “Luca has the perfect stature for a striker. He is characterized by speed, goal instinct and a very good mentality. He also has high development potential,” says sports director Benjamin Weber, pleased about the signing of the 1.90 meter man. The 25-year-old is also happy: “I wanted to take the next step. When I heard that Hertha had contacted me, I had a huge grin. It’s a great club and an awesome city. There are many reasons why I really enjoy this task,” emphasizes the new Herthaner.
The right-footer, who comes from Neustadt an der Weinstraße, celebrated his professional debut in the FC Schalke 04 uniform in the 2020/21 season. Schuler appeared on the pitch twice in the Bundesliga for the Royal Blues. The offensive player played for the FCM for the past three seasons – in 2023/24 he made 28 appearances and scored six goals in the German lower house. In the future, Schuler will wear our flag on his chest.
