The European karate championships took place on Saturday in Zadar in Croatia and crowned the French Alizée Agier, in the -68 kg category.
Alizée Agier returned from Zadar with the second European title of her career. She won this Saturday, May 11 in the -68 kg final against the Swiss Elena Quirici, 6 to 2. A very good performance because her opponent was none other than the world n.1, reigning European champion . The karateka therefore adds a gold medal to her European record after her victory in 2019 in Guadalajara.
Not one, but two medals for Alizée Agier
Accompanied by Léa Avazeri, Thalya Sombé and Jennifer Zameto, Alizée Agier reached the third step of the podium in the team championship. A few hours after her individual title, the karateka and her teammates defeated Greece in two fights, thus bringing back the bronze medal to France.
