Toronto Blue Jays Pitchers Romano and Swanson Making Progress in Recovery with AAA Start

Toronto Blue Jays pitchers Jordan Romano and Erik Swanson are scheduled to pitch Thursday in a Buffalo Bisons AAA game against Rochester.

If things go well, both Gunners could be back with the big club soon.

Romano has suffered from inflammation in his right elbow since March 24, while Swanson is injured in his right forearm.

Swanson appeared in two games in practice and posted a 5.40 ERA. As for Romano, he appeared in five games in camp, pitching 4.1 innings.

For his part, receiver Danny Jansen is still recovering from a wrist injury. He has started to swing again and if all goes as planned, he will be back in action at the end of the month. He had a .217 batting average in camp with a home run and three RBIs in 23 at-bats.
