QUERÉTARO, Qro., April 9, 2024.-The national archery team, Carlos Javier Rojas López, declared himself prepared to compete in the Pan American Championship of the specialty, to be held in Medellín, Colombia, from April 10 to 14. April, and which is a qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
“I am very excited, since we are going for an Olympic place in one of the most important competitions we are going to have this year. It will be full of strong rivals and people we know; It will be our first international tournament of the year, and the team has been working very well, I see us very strong,” he assured.
After an outstanding 2023, in which he won a team gold medal at the San Salvador Central American Games, as well as a silver medal in the same event during the Santiago Pan American Games, the 24-year-old goalkeeper was confident about the level and unity which he has developed together with Matías Grande Kalionchiz and Bruno Martínez Wing.
