UEFA has punished FC Barcelona due to the racist behavior of some fans.

The club is not allowed to sell tickets to its fans for an away game in the European Cup, but this penalty has been suspended. In addition, FC Barcelona should pay a fine of 25,000 euros.

The incidents occurred during the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona. Videos on social networks showed one fan denigrating PSG players with monkey noises and another giving a Nazi salute. These offenses prompted UEFA to punish him.

In Spain, racist incidents occur again and again in football stadiums. Most recently, former Dortmund player and current Real Madrid professional Jude Bellingham denounced the circumstances in Spain’s first division as “terrible”.
