Ibiza Selected to Host European Junior Badminton Championships for Third Consecutive Year

Continuing Ibiza’s tradition of hosting prestigious sporting events, the island will once again become the epicenter of badminton when it is chosen to host the European Junior Championships. This event, which is divided into the team event and the individual event, will be held from November 26 to December 5, followed by the renowned Spanish International under-15 and under-17. All the activity will take place at the sa Blanca Dona sports center, home of CB Pitiús, one of the most prestigious clubs on the national scene.

The designation of the island as the venue for the European Junior Championships underlines the strong link between Ibiza and badminton, both in the sporting and organizational aspects. First, because Ibiza and the Balearic Islands have one of the most prominent groups of badminton talent in the country and, second, because in both 2022 and 2023 Ibiza has hosted three consecutive events of the highest demand.
