Guardia Koszalin Takes Home Title at ISEO Baltic Sea Cup

Our annual ISEO Baltic Sea Cup took place at the weekend. Over 450 athletes from 46 clubs (Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Thuringia and Poland) fought for the trophies and medals. The motto here is: Every point counts. Because at the end of the tournament everyone wants to take the challenge cup home with them. This year a club from Poland (Guardia Koszalin) took part again. Last year, TSV Kronshagen won the challenge cup. Can you defend him?

Fierce battles took place on 4 mats in the age groups from U9 to Ü50. From JKC Rostock, Hannes, Annemarie, Uwe, Mirko and Gabriel, for whom it was his first competition, were able to fight for a place on the podium. Our good snack provided atmospheric food both inside and outside. With cakes, rolls, muffins and grilled meat and bratwurst, every taste was catered for. We would especially like to thank the cake fairies and the grill masters for their incredible performance in caring for all athletes and carers. In addition to the exciting battles, there was another important event. The judges’ tests took place. There were a total of 4 examinees who gave everything on the mats to pass. After a long day, it was happily announced that everyone was now part of the MV judging panel. We congratulate all new judges on passing the exam. After the award ceremony the time had finally come: The winner of the challenge cup was: Guardia Koszalin, followed by Bramfelder SV and TURA Harksheide.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the helpers, judges, paramedics and security guards from the WSD for their help and support. We look forward to seeing you all 09/14/24 for the Neptune Cup to welcome.
