Former world champion Sami Khedira was happy with his former teammate in the national team. “After all this criticism, he more than deserves it,” said the former midfielder. Kimmich saw his entry into the premier class semi-finals against Real Madrid thanks to his goal as a reward for not giving up. “In the end it proves once again that hard work is always worth it. I’m very proud that the evening went like this. I’m really happy about the goal and about reaching the semi-finals.”
The first leg between Bayern and Real will take place on April 30th in Munich. The second leg will be played on May 8th at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. “This is one of the hardest games you can play,” said Tuchel: “Semi-final against the biggest club in the world.
