Viñales takes pole in Austin ahead of Acosta and Marc Márquez

The Spanish driver Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) took pole this Saturday at the Grand Prix of the Americas after a tight session where he set the circuit record to start the race ahead of Pedro Acosta (KTM) and Marc Márquez (Ducati) .

Viñales clocked a time of 2:00.864 in his last attempt, a perfect lap as the record for the circuit in Austin, Texas (United States). The one from Figueres took a step forward in search of cutting positions with the top zone of the World Championship, from the sprint race this Saturday and on Sunday in the GP.
