Devillard and Boyer among those selected for the European Championships

Coline Devillard and Marine Boyer were selected by the French delegation for the European Championships which will begin at the beginning of May in Rimini, Italy.

Coline Devillard and Marine Boyer are part of the French delegation which will participate in the European Gymnastics Championships in early May in Rimini (Italy), unlike Mélanie de Jesus Dos Santos, according to the list announced Thursday by the French Federation.

Devillard, world medalist on vault, and Marine Boyer, double European medalist on beam, will be accompanied in Italy by Lorette Charpy, Morgane Osyssek and Ming Gherardi Van Eijken. The latter thus participated at the age of 16 in her first championships at the senior level.

The four-time European champion Mélanie de Jesus Dos Santos, who favors other competitions in her preparation for the Olympic Games, will not take part in this Euro.

On the men’s side, Léo Saladino, Benjamin Osberger, Jim Zona, Paul Degouy and Axel Brèche were selected as a team, and Samir Aït Saïd as an individual. The French will try to obtain the last continental Olympic ticket. The European Championships take place in Rimini in two stages, from April 24 to 28 for the men’s competition and from May 2 to 5 for the women.
