Třinec, champions of the last four extra-league seasons, can end the series in today’s fourth match in the south of Bohemia. After winning 2-0 at home, the Steelers won 4-3 on the ice of Motor on Thursday, and they have to take the last step.
In the third quarter-final, the South Czechs were able to overcome the Třinec goalkeeper Marko Mazanc for the first time, who conceded in the series only after 129 minutes and 21 seconds.
Striker Libor Hudáček had a big part in the win, too, scoring two goals and adding an assist.
