The Trisome Games are an Olympics for people with Down syndrome held every 4 years.
The Mexican Bárbara Wetzel won the floor, vault and uneven bars events at the Sixth World Artistic Gymnastics Championships for Women with Down Syndrome in Antalya, Türkiye.
In Vaulting, Mexico took the podium in first place followed by Lithuania and tied for third place with the competitors from Italy and Lithuania again.
The gold medal on uneven bars represented Bibi’s first medal in this modality. The second place is Russia and the third for Lithuania.
With these triumphs equaled what was done in 2023 in South Africa, edition in which he won a total of five medals.
Bronce and Futsal
The Mexican Futsal Down Team won the bronze medal at the World Trisome Games in Antalya, Turkey.
In the match for third place, Mexico defeated Italy 7-5.
