Judo Robber Strikes in Rome: Man Arrested for Asphyxiating Victims and Robbing Them

He asphyxiated the victims by tightening his arm around their necks, leading them to faint, and then robbed them. The technique used in the discipline of judo was used at least twice by a 37-year-old of Cuban origins arrested by officers of the Porta Maggiore police station in Rome. The man is under investigation for two robberies, committed with this system in early March. The man attacked his victims from behind and, after having blocked them with an arm around their neck at the level of the jugular, he made them lose consciousness and robbed them. When the victims regained consciousness, he had already escaped with what he had managed to take away.
