An experienced French team
Of the six archers who make up this French Paralympic team, four of them have already participated in the Paralympic or… Olympic Games. A high level and Games experience which they will have to use this summer to win the Paralympic medal.
A selection in several stages
As the organizing country, France had a quota per category, to which was added an additional quota in men’s Open Compound Archery, won during the world championships in 2023.
To join the French Paralympic team, the para-archers took part in the selection process with a stage in Niort on January 27 and 28. At the end of this stage, a collective made up of seven athletes participated in the world ranking tournament in Dubai at the beginning of March. The federation then selected six athletes, corresponding to the number of quotas acquired.
Note that the French team which will participate in the next European Championship in Rome from May 20 to 25 will be made up of the same six archers selected for the Paralympic Games.
