The PNF has opened a preliminary investigation into the deal made by the LFP with CVC

A preliminary investigation has indeed been opened by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF) into the creation by the Professional Football League (LFP) of a commercial company, which led, in April 2022, to an unprecedented deal in sport French: the transfer, for life, to an investment fund, CVC, of a little more than 13% of French football rights against a cash contribution of 1.5 billion euros. This deal, the result of very long months of negotiations, was only possible after a legislative change, allowing a sports league to transfer part of its rights (with a limit set at 20%) to a private entity.
